Today’s Gospel includes the miracle of the woman who touched Jesus’ clothing and the healing of Jairus’ daughter.

It’s interesting to note that in both circumstances the one healed really didn’t know much about Jesus.

The woman had heard about him and was desperate, having suffered for years and found no relief. She was not just sick but unclean and her life was difficult. But she believed, knowing there was no other remedy for her but this man Jesus. Without him there was nothing the world offered her that would heal her.

Often times that is when we too finally turn to Jesus with open hearts and giving Jesus all we have. Our failures, our pain, our suffering, and our desperation. Giving him it all for we know at that moment nothing else can help us.  Outside Jesus there is no healing for any of us.

Our goal is to learn from the Gospel and our own experience maybe, and take to heart that every day is from Jesus and there is no other remedy for us and no other way, for us that claim Jesus as our Lord, than to give each day to him.  Ask him to use our day and blessings to help us grow closer to him. So, we do all things for him and keep him close to us all day. Then our path will be open to joy and peace and hope. Our life will stay on track and we will be living our best life. The life of a child of God destined to join their Father in heaven.
