In our readings we hear of the Son of Man’s coming into the world. In Daniel he arrives and we are told his Kingdom will never end. He has already broke into our world and time and history. The timeless and omnipotent divinity for who one day is the same as a thousand and there are no physics and laws of nature that confine him, for he made all, including laws of nature and the earth and universe. We know he is king of all and his kingdom will have no end.
His kingdom is dynamic and moving and growing. In our world, certainly. In our hearts, hopefully. The Spirit of Jesus Christ lives within us and guides our hearts to choose love always, and seek to do his will only.
It is the goal of every Christian to live for Christ, doing his will and living the life he lived. Reaching out to those who are hurting and those who are sick. To touch all people who suffer and to plant seeds of faith in everyone around us. To be Christ in the world.
Many ask or wonder when Jesus will return. But we know no one knows the answer. But maybe the real question we should ask ourselves is not when will Jesus come and bring his kingdom to finally prevail completely over the world of man, but perhaps a better question is, when will we begin to finally start creating the kingdom where we live?
When will we speak up about the good news to others?
When will we decide to always choose what we believe Jesus would choose. No matter the decision or question.
We are called to be a light that shines his love. We are called to heal others. We are called to use words and actions to bring Jesus Christ in every aspect of our world. Jesus Christ should be the incense that flows around us and swirls through our day and work and movements. It should be obvious and visible.
While the world focuses on temporary things, we are to do all things for God. Letting our desire and yearning for eternal life and unity with God lead us on our path.
